In our nation, the Strong Interest Inventory has long been and is now the most widely used inventory to assess vocational interests. It is highly valid and reliable and of immense practical use.  If you wish to be given an interest inventory, I would recommend this as the tool to first consider before any others.  The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a respected inventory that provides a wealth of personality “type” information.  It is easy to take, the results are fascinating to consider, and the MBTI has been effectively used to enhance “personality understanding” in personal growth, individual and marital counseling, and business situations.  If you wish to pick a widely used interest inventory and personality inventory for your testing practice or for your personal use, the Bindrims’ have chosen well on both counts.”
